For Dayman: Fighter of the Nightman, we took a select barrel of The Nightman Cometh and conditioned it on mounds of delicious toasted coconut and custom roasterized coffee from our blood brothers over at Thunder Coffee.

Oily black body, brown ring for the appearance. Getting huge coconut and chocolate fudge in the nose melding into barrel and coffee. Taste is led instead by coconut and coffee, booze is big but oak is subdued, vanilla, semi-sweet chocolate and a touch of char are all nicely supporting, but the finish has a hint of metal with the coffee that really distracts. Feel is rich, warm, thick, and surprisingly sweet to the point of cloying as you go down the glass. A taproom delight as I would have enjoyed 5 oz much more than 12

Bottle. Dark brown black color.

Cocoa powder, chocolate, fudge. Some coconut but not overly sweet. Coffee and espresso but not roasted or burnt. A little boozey.

Excellent dark body, black and opaque; thin to non-existent head. Huge nose filled with cocoa; roasted grains and hints of coffee. Rich mild chocolate and bourbon taste; fine coconut sweetness; black coffee simmering in the background; mild bitterness. Heavy body; rich and oily; dense residual sugar presence; fairly sweet mouthfeel overall.

Some big ABV beers have great heads, others don't. This is an 'other' beer. Aside from that, the beer exudes depth and richness of character, nicely hiding its 10% ABV. Yes, dinged on the appearance, but otherwise an exceptional imperial stout.

Poured at 54° F; no bottling info noted.
