This wicked new Slang Du Jour was stuffed and then stuffed some more with blueberry and then we cast the cobbler spell upon it, which involves precise amounts of granola, cinnamon, good vibes, brown sugar, lactose, a special incantation, vanilla beans, and finally shotgunning a Snakes without spilling a drop. Might’ve taken us a couple tries on that last one, but we aren’t complaining.

Pours a deep berry color with a murky transparency. Head is a finger of pink foam that bubbles away quickly. Aroma is blueberry, purple grapes, and lactose, brown sugar. It's tart up front, but carries an underlying sweetness throughout. It smells... like cobbler. Flavor profile is smooth blueberry, crust, purple grapes, granola, and brown sugar. Start is lightly sour, with a medium sweetness in the middle, and big flavor throughout. Comes on bigger when allowed to warm. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a decadent, heavy, creamy texture. Overall, it's a handful. Big blueberry breaks away to reveal several other sweet notes layered amongst the sourness.

A: The beer is opaque purple in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light purple head that left a narrow collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of blueberries are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of cinnamon with notes of blueberries and hints of granola and vanilla. There is a light amount of sourness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit "slushy" on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The taste of this beer is a very nice representation of a blueberry cobbler and isn't really that sour.

A friend found this beer for me and knew I needed it. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a pint glass. The pour created a creamy and foamy purple head with excellent retention. The head dissipated slowly, leaving some lacing on the glass. The color is dark purple with hues of dark blue. The appearance is superb for this style.
I first detect berries, sugar, and biscuity crust. Nosing further, I recognize lemons, graham crackers, a touch of floral, earthiness, and baking spices.
The flavors in the beer are blueberries, graham crackers, brown sugar, cinnamon, shortbread, lightly toasted malts, fruity sweetness, earthiness, and a touch of floral.
The mouthfeel of the beer is creamy and chewy.
The body of the beer is robust, low carbonation, and full finish.
It amazes me how they accomplish these beers. The beer is a sour blueberry cobbler without a hint of 7 plus percent alcohol. The beer is rich, full-flavored, and chocked full of fruit. An impressive beer glad my friend brought it to me.

Drekker Blueberry Cobbler Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 7.8% ABV. Pours thick and murky purple with a half-finger light purple head that left puree residue. Nose is blueberry, granola, and brown sugar. Taste follows, with blueberry front and center, and granola and brown sugar cowering behind it, quite sweet, slightly tart. Thick and smooth mouthfeel, overall outstanding, though not the best of their cobbler variants. Seemed like something was missing, perhaps because the Blueberry Peach variant is my favorite.
