Drekker tropical blueberry Chonk. Inverted and rolled a few times. Holy Hell. This thing pours out like an actual purée. Viscous. Chunky…or is it Chonky? Had I known, I think an actual vigorous shaking was in order to properly mix it. If Braaaaaaaains was a doubled fruited drink, is this a quintuple fruited? The label says there is marshmallow and coconut added, so the former might account to some degree for what is happening here.
I don’t know if this should even qualify as a fruited sour or a sour or a beer, but let’s give it a whirl.
Canned 06/10/21. 6.5% ABV. Poured cold to a teku. Color is deep purple, owing undoubtedly to the blueberries and black currants. At first, I thought there was no head. After some time, I realized the initial pour was ALL head! A massive, globular, beast of a head that slowly but steadily expands in the glass like Great Stuff foam. That head starts to settle, letting you see the actual drink. Totally opaque. Totally a blended fruit drink.
Nose picks up the blueberry, black currant, and lime easily. Everything smells like it’s freshly picked and blended. The first sips follow the nose primarily, with a bit more lime coming to the forefront. I get a sense of graham cracker, though that is not a listed ingredient. Yeah, like a blueberry pie…a really tasty blueberry pie.
I don’t get an overt coconut flavor, but similar to stouts with coconut, I think it’s adding a lot to the thick mouthfeel, and subtle coconut milk sweetness.
Fifteen minutes and there is still a finger or two of head. I’m trying to wait. The head was like a drink of its own. Alcohol again is hiding on the front and back.
This is a whole different league fruited sour. I think Mortalis offerings, the admittedly few I’ve had, are not this insanely thick. A head to head sounds in order.
Utterly fantastic. Equally too easy to drink

Can. Chunky purple color. Very smoothie like. Chunky lace.
A mess of tropical berries and vanilla/marshmallow. Blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, and who knows what else.
Great smoothie, but not beer.

Drekker Chonk Tropical Berry Blast Sundae Sour, 6.5% ABV. Pours thick and murky maroon, with a one finger purple head capped with massive bubbles. Nose is a fruit mashup of blueberry and black currant, faint lime, and vanilla/marshmallow. Taste follows with lime up front, quite sweet, slightly tart. Outstanding thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall outstanding. My biggest gripe is calling this tropical. Can't taste the coconut, so where is the tropical?

Pours a thick Blueberry color with a lot of strange bubbly floaters and a ring of sludge . Smell was good blueberry and blackberry. Taste also. good fresh blueberry and blackberry with notes of vanilla ,did not get any coconut as listed on can as gimmicks. Mouth feel fresh. This was one of the worst fruited sours I’ve had to date from Drekker,Maybe got a bad can as I’ve had 50 or so different ones over the years always great this one was not.
