We set the flavor guns to tropical and blasted this new Braaains with Pineapple, Guava, & Passionfruit and then gave it our super secret smoothie treatment of sea salt, lactose, and vanilla beans for a flavor that’ll whoosh you away on a little mental vacation to a nice, warm, white sandy beach! We aren’t responsible for whatever it is that jars this image from your head, though. You’ve been warned.

Murky orange color with a slight pink hue and a thin, off‑white head. The aroma pops with pineapple, passionfruit, and a creamy lactose note. Juicy and moderately tart on the palate, with a soft lactose sweetness lingering in the background. Bright, flavorful, and tasty.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Murky/opaque pink/brown pour. 2 fingers of fizzy head fall fast... thin ring of lacing with sediment along the walls of the glass. No light making it through this one.
S: Fruity... loads of pineapple and passionfruit. Tropicals.
T.F: Sweet/tart. A ton of pineapple... dole whip with milder guava and passionfruit. Not much in the way of sour. Some vanilla and cream. Super smooth and medium to thick on the tongue. Well carbonated... a bit of salt at the finish which leads you into the next sip.
O: If you like pineapple juice you'll love this milkshake sour. Tons of tropical fruit... not much in the way of acidity... just spectacular. Makes for a great dessert brew.

Brains Pineapple Guava Passionfruit
Drekker Brewing
Date: 26 August 2021
Another Drekker to consume tonight. I poured in a tulip glass; the temperature was 44 degrees. A yellow-orange one-fingered head with poor retention. Dissipated quickly, leaving a little bit of fruit on the glass. The yellow-orange beer is thick and hazy. The beer is typical for this style.
Pineapple, guava, and passionfruit leap out of the glass. Notes of vanilla and salt complement the sourness of the beer. Lightly toasted malts give the beer a somewhat sturdy backbone.
Pineapple and guava just dominate the palates. Passionfruit and vanilla add perfect accents; furthermore, salt and lightly toasted malts add character to the beer. These beers are stellar and hide the ABV well.
The mouthfeel is chewy and tart. The body is heavy, has medium carbonation, and has a long and full finish.
Not much to comment on; I think this is one of the best combinations for this series. Love the tropical fruit notes. The sour component of the beer is lacking, I would have like to see more sourness with the acidic fruit.

Drekker Pineapple/Guava/Passionfruit BRAAAAAAAAins Double Fruit Smoothie Sour, 7.3% ABV. Pours thick and opaque/murky orange with a 4-finger light orange head that left puree residue. Nose is Pineapple, Guava, Passionfruit and vanilla. Taste follows, quite sweet, slightly tart, salt on the close. Excellent thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Some of the BRAAAAAAAAins variants don't work, but this one does.
