Fruited Kettle Sour
Drekker Brewing Co.
Brains Mango Cherry
ABV: 6.9%
Date: 09/27/21
Continuing with the fruit slushy theme . The temperature is 43 degrees, served in a tulip. The pour created a frothy and airy light pinkish-orange hue. Average head retention for this style. The dissipation left bits of fruit on the glass. The color is a darker and reddish hue of salmon. The appearance of the beer is standard; nothing stands out as perfect.
Cherry and mango emitted before I poured it into the glass. Other aromas are vanilla, sugar, and lightly toasted grains. The fruit is the star in this beer; everything else is just a co-star.
The cherries' tartness is mellowed out the sweet mango, making a perfect combination. The malt backbone is firm enough, holding everything into a delicate balance. Vanilla and salt play a small but crucial role in creating harmony.
The mouthfeel is sticky, with a lasting and clean finish. The body is medium-plus and has low carbonation.
Consuming a lot of their fruit series, this one is in the top ten. One of the best combinations for this kettle sour. The fruit is not overbearing or too much. The mango and cherries do a lovely tango.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy burgundy pour with sediment/debris. A slow to rise pink-tinged head rises slowly to 1.5 finger thickness. nice ring of lacing with sediment/debris on the walls of the glass.
S: Cherry pie and mango. Lush and fruity.
T.F: Sweetish up front... modest tartness for balance, but more on the sweet side. Big time cherry... baked goods and vanilla. Mango and summer fruit. Thick, creamy, and smooth bodied. Sticky on the tongue... more cherry/mango medley at the finish.
O: More or less delicious. Loads of fruit... super easy to drink. Big fan of this one.

Drekker BRAAAAAAAAins Mango/Cherry Double Fruit Smoothie Sour, 6.7% ABV. Pours thick gloppy maroon with a 1.6-finger light red head that left puree residue. Nose is cherry, guava, and vanilla. Taste follows, quite sweet, slightly tart. Thick and smooth mouthfeel. Overall outstanding, one of the better variants. BTW, add-junks are not adjuncts!

16oz can from Tavour. Deep purple/ burgundy colored pour, thick, light pink head. Fruity aroma, cherries dominating. Taste is full, thick, cherries, sweet and a very mild tartness. Chunky, tasty.

Pours a murky light black cherry color with ruby highlights , Smell is fresh cherry and mango. Taste is fresh with cherries mango and vanilla mix in very well . Mouth feel is fresh and sweet with the two fruits, would have like some more tartness from the cherries and bitterness from the mango , still very good.
