Sounds amazing as described, but just pretty good. Very thick as expected. Taste is mostly sweet berries with maybe a bit of ice cream background. Very good, but not the best Drekker sour I've had.

All the flavors are present but the odd combo of fruit, coffee, and chocolate ice cream is off-putting. Feel is still reasonably thick as you'd expect from this series.

16oz can. Stamped on can bottom is 'CANNED ON 01/30/23'.
Dense purple colored body. Purplish head upon pouring turns into a slightly active surface and residue on the glass. What may be termed as lacing is puree residue and an oily sheen.
Aroma of plum, dark berry, and chocolate. I do not smell the coffee at first pour.
Taste is led by the plum, which seems to be wrapped in chocolate soft serve. The blueberry and boysenberry add in the later stages of the profile. Any coffee must be part of what is tasted as chocolate, with a minute peek at the very end. Very sweet flavor overall. Final bit of the aftertaste is plum and berry.
Mouthfeel is similar to melted ice cream, and very smooth. There must be some carbonation because there was a head upon pouring and bubbles continue to rise to the surface.
The flavors work together as advertised, except for the lack of a distinct coffee element. Very rich and filling.

Brains Lemon Apricot
Drekker Brewing
Fruited Sour
ABV: 7.1%
Date: 03 March 2022
My tenth brain in the series that I have rated. The slushy xl was a letdown; moreover, it had too much fruit in the beer. I am getting burned out on fruited sours; they are waning for me.
I am using the correct glass for this style. A frothy and fruity two-fingered head was created from the pour. Bits of fruit lacing on the clings to the glass. The color is medium orange and hazy. The appearance is excellent for this style.
The primary aromas in the beer are apricots, lemons, and vanilla. Nosing the glass further, I detect a touch of floral, breadiness, and lightly toasted malts. Lots of sour lemons and fruity sweetness exist on the nose.
The apricots temper the acidic lemon. This is a beautiful combination of fruit. Other flavors in the beer are vanilla, floral, and light toasted malts.
The mouthfeel is creamy and finishes smooth with a touch of acidity. The body is medium-full and has low carbonation.
This is one of my favorites in the series, next to POG and the peach one. This is tasty stuff.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a thick purple color with almost no head at all.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a chocolate ice cream smell mixed with other aromas of plum and boysenberry. Along with these aromas comes some light blueberry and coffee as well as a touch of grainy malt and vanilla.
Taste – The taste starts out with a very sweet taste, with tons of blueberry, boysenberry, and milk chocolate. At the same time there is a light biscuit malt flavor that is mostly overwhelmed, but that just ekes through. The sweeter fruit flavors grow more intense as the taste advances with some cherry like and plum flavors joining the medley. At the same time the chocolate takes on some notes of an ice cream like flavor developing a crème and vanilla like accent. The alcohol is hidden very well on this one and the “sourness” is almost non-existent due to the overwhelming sweet, leaving one with a thick and super sweet smoothie like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is super thick with a carbonation level that is very low. I guess it matches the smoothie nature well enough.
Overall – I just can’t get behind these types of beers; it’s more like a smoothie. Way too sweet!! Your better off drinking a Daiquiri or some other fruity fixed drink if you want something fruity sweet and alcoholic..

Stupid opaque royal purple with no real head after a lighter violet blanket dies off, mainly leaving a filmy residue of pulps and...I guess it's soft serve lipids.
Taste is about as absurd as its gimmick ingredients sound, with the individual parts not only fighting each other but translating into something less attractive than if they'd have been solo, namely freshly baby-powdered diaper. It's not a poopy diaper, but more like rose-jasmine talcum. Ugh. I dunno.
It at least smells better than it tastes, fruitier and juicier, but taste is where chocolate and coffee clash with the fruit in unusual ways.
Feel is overly thick--chonk is right--but then thins out to a lightly chewy dry finish.

Drekker Chonk Midnight Snack Sundae Sour with boysenberry/blueberry/plum/coffee/choc ice cream, 7.5% ABV. Pours thick and maroon, with a ring of pink bubbles. Nose is a fruit mashup, plus chocolate and coffee. Taste follows with plum smoothing things out, non-bitter coffee, and chocolate ice cream, moderately sweet, slightly tart, with coffee and chocolate in the aftertaste. Thick and smooth mouthfeel with good carbonation, overall world-class. Out of 16 Chonk variants I've had, this is in a three-way tie for first. The plum smooths out the berries, and the chocolate mellows the coffee harshness.
Update: later batch, outstanding but not the 4.6 I originally rated it.
