Pineapple Guava Dragon Fruit Brains (minus) the 7 a's)
Drekker Brewing
Kettle Sour
Date: 11/03/2021
Let us change the style up again, a kettle fruit sour. I will stay on this style for the next couple of beers. The temperature is 44 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour created a frothy and airy salmon-colored two-fingered head with above-average retention. The somewhat quick dissipation left gobs of fruit and lacing on the glass. The color is a rusty reddish pink-orange.
Pineapple and guava are the dominant aromas. Nosing further, I get sugar, lightly toasted malts, vanilla, a touch of floral, and lemons. I have eaten lots of dragonfruits; I am not smelling it. Dragonfruit has this mild yet tender fleshy fruit with black seeds.
Pineapple and guava just leap out on the palate. I taste sugar, vanilla, lightly toasted malts, a hint of floral, and the sourness of a subtle lemon.
The mouthfeel is pulpy and sticky coating. The body is heavy, has low carbonation, and has a lasting sweet finish.
The pineapple is the dominant flavor. The guava is perceivable, but the dragonfruit is lost. Generally, the beers that have dragonfruit become lost. This is not my favorite Drekker sour, but it is still tasty.

Drekker BRAAAAAAAAins Double Fruit Smoothie Sour - Pineapple, Guava, Dragonfruit, 7.2% ABV. Pours thick an murky burnt orange with a one-finger light orange head that left puree residue. Nose is a mashup of pineapple/guava/dragonfruit, and vanilla. Taste follows, moderately sweet, equally tart, with salt on the close. Excellent thick mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Overall outstanding, one of their better BRAAAAAAAAins variants.
