Canned 12/17/21
When I was in New York a few weeks ago, I saw these cans and all variants at a bunch of different stores. I ultimately ignored them but was intrigued. When I was beer shopping today, I came across this one and caved in. I was just feeling like drinking something dumb, so let's get into it
Pours a still, opaque, pale orange with 2 fingers of large-bubbled cream colored head that very slowly fades to a cap and leaves sticky lacing
For a style that rarely does much to differentiate itself from others aside from combinations of fruit, this one is actually made unique by the addition of sea salt. I'm picking up on aromas of tart mango, guava juice, bready malt, lime zest, sea salt, creamy vanilla, and coconut milk
While this doesn't taste bad by any means, I am a bit disappointed by the fact that it loses it's singularity in taste. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting tart mango, orange juice, peach, coconut milk, light guava, and vanilla. The swallow brings notes of creamy vanilla, overripe mango, guava juice, light lime, and coconut milk
A medium full body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a thick and chewy beer. Finishes surprisingly dry with a mild tartness
This wasn't the best smoothie-type Sour I've had, but it was pretty good. Maybe it's the fruit selection that keeps the sea salt aspect from coming through more. Oh well

Drekker BRAAAAAAAAins Mango/Guava/Lime/Coconut Double Fruit Smoothie Sour, 6.5% ABV. Pours opaque orange with a 3-finger off-white head that left puree residue. Nose is vanilla, lime, and mango. Taste follows, plus lactose and salt, quite sweet, faintly tart. Excellent thick and creamy mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Overall outstanding. One of the better variants. Glad they went easy on the lime.
