Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a snifter glass, forming a little bit of white head that soon faded to nothing. Bright red color but very hazy with all the sediment. Some sweet cherry smell, good but not strong. Absolutely delicious flavor, the cherry isn't too bitter. Sweet, but not excessive. Some chocolate flavor as well, overall very balanced and not too sour at all. Maybe medium bodied at the most, with light carbonation after the pour. Another awesome sour from Drekker.

 

 

 

 

 

Drekker Black Forrest Cake Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 7.3% ABV. Pours thick blood-red, with a one finger head that left no lacing and surprisingly little puree residue. Nose is strong chocolate cake, cherry, and vanilla ice cream. Taste follows, with chocolate taking the lead, quite sweet, slightly tart, cherry on the close. Excellent thick, smooth, and creamy mouthfeel, with the anticipated carbonation. Overall world class, one of Drekker's better pastry/smoothie sours and my new favorite Drekker.

This beer has a beautiful purple-burgundy body with no head to speak of. The aroma contains notes of cherry, vanilla, and almond. It honestly tastes just like an outer bite of Black Forest cake; cherries, sweet vanilla frosting, and a touch of chocolate cake. It’s perfectly thick and only has a slight aftertaste of cherries.

Pours a thick purple blackberry color. Smell has cherry ,chocolate vanilla and graham cracker. Taste has the slang cake noted of vanilla ,and graham cracker nice chocolate notes with cherries and almond in finish. Mouth feel fresh fruit slight tartness cake finish.
