Our lovable hefty boi is back and this time he’s absolutely slathered with strawberry, guava, banana, and marshmallows. Our little absolute unit is suuuuper sticky but having a great time & breathing all heavy because this combo of flavors is extra decadent and tasty as hell.

Drekker Chonk Strawberry/Guava/Banana/Fluff Sundae Sour, 6.9% ABV. Pours thick and opaque pale red, with a 1.5 finger off-white head that left some lacing. Nose is real nice strawberry, guava, banana, and marshmallow. Taste is a mess, vaguely fruity, slightly sour, slightly sweet, nowhere as good as the nose. Decent smooth and creamy mouthfeel, overall very good.

Pours an opaque, carmine red coloration with a large, creamy head. Smell is dominated by strawberries and guava, with hints of banana and marshmallow fluff. Taste follows the nose, with a great balance of sweet strawberries, acidic guava and lighter banana and marshmallow fluff accents. Finishes with a light/medium sourness and some strawberry and guava lingering in the aftertaste. Thick mouthfeel with a medium body and low carbonation.
I'm no longer ashamed to admit that I can quite enjoy pastry sours as long as they are done right, which this one certainly is. It may be just a tad too sweet for my personal taste, but the marshmallow fluff is relatively restrained, with the fruity notes standing out quite vibrant and expressive here, with a good underlying sourness. The mouthfeel is incredibly thick, really like a smoothie and while this generally tastes more like a fruit smoothie than a beer that's fine, this is what it is, love it or hate it. At the same time, I will also say fhat I had Smoothie Sours from Russia that were just as good as this one and didn't cost an arm and a leg, so it's not like Drekker, Burley Oak, etc. have the monopoly on this style.

Poured hard into a snifter glass, forming a huge pile of thick pinkish head that slowly faded to major lacing. Pink color, but almost opaque with so much sediment. Smell is definitely guava and banana. Taste is excellent, like a mildly alcoholic fruit smoothie with all the ingredients in the label. We'll balanced and mildly sweet. Medium mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation after the pour. Very good sour (and thankfully not too sour tasting).
