A lot of tropical notes on this one...particularly pineapple...also some mango and papaya.......a little sharp with the acidity at first but overall relatively smooth and medium bodied if perhaps a bit thinner than some......has a little of that cloying impression I find in some in this style....it's solid but it wouldn't be near the top of my favorite NE IPA's..very nice fresh hop aroma...

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left thin trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, melon, orange and caramel. Sweet fruity taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (5% clarity) medium to deep orange/golden color with a massive white head that lingers. SRM of 8. (4.25)
Aroma: Stronger of orange citrus, tropical pineapple, peach, cantaloupe melon. Juicy. (4.00)
Flavor: Flavors of tropical orange, tropical peach, some smooth, cantaloupe, melon, and papaya. Tropical and smooth, mildly sweet. (4.25)
Feel: Medium to heavier body, strong, carbonation, smooth, creamy, and mildly sweet. (4.25)
Compared to Drekker Super Freak 11/2023: Pours similar, stronger head. More tropical orange, peach, melon. Less tangerine, grapefruit, mango skins and pine. Smoother and less of a bite
Overall: Citra, Mosaic, and Waimea. Lots of tropical flavors. This is smooth, flavorful, and not to sweet. Excellent mouthfeel and excellently balanced at a lower ABV. I think this is an excellent IPA from Drekker in terms of flavor and balance a lower/reasonable ABV. (Rating: 4.14)
