Blueberry Muffin Slang Du Jour is loaded up with Blueberry, of course, and then we threw in a bunch of plum, granola, cinnamon, lactose and vanilla beans and dialed in the flavor to taste just like blueberry muffins right out of the oven! You know, with the crumbles and the ooey gooey warm blueberries?

Drekker Blueberry Muffin Slang Du Jour Sour รก la Mode, 6.5% ABV. Pours thick and opaque maroon with a half-finger pink head that left some lacing and some puree residue. Aroma is blueberry, granola, and vanilla. Taste follows, with plum to take the tart edge off the blueberries, plus cinnamon, quite sweet, slightly tart. Decent thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall most excellent.

A - Pouring out an opaque purple, with some red highlights, the head is straight pink, highly persistent. Small bubble lacing curtains the glass.
S - Mostly notes of granola and blueberry, with just a hint of yogurt on the side.
T - An open of fruit, a bit of the yogurt tang signaling the sour, with a middle of sweet oat notes, a bit of honey, baking spices, and a finish that is almost floral, with blueberry and plum notes lingering after.
M - Shockingly smooth and easy, with significant weight from the fruit. The only detraction is that there is a bit of silt on the tongue after some sips. Not surprising, and hardly a major problem, just a quibble.
O - I have had fruited sours before, but this is quite different than most. The beer approaches smoothie territory, and I love it. Delicious, and satisfying. Superb.
