unique in what is becoming a very unique style, my first in what looks like a pretty robust series of these. it seriously looks like a breakfast smoothie with frozen blueberries, that thick, that purple, and super cloudy and pulpy, chunked up. no head at all, none of these are ever really carbonated much, but cool to find it on tap, barely even a liquid. the aroma is great, blueberries all through it, their tart skins, their jammy sweet flesh too, and subtle red grape character too, grape candy, light sourness thats clean, this is tangy not super acidic, a lemon note though too, a freshness which is cool, and some obvious sweetness from the lactose, not a whole lot of beer elements here but the fruit is lovely and it all comes through in the flavor, so much berry on this, not much plum to me but i dont miss it, it highlights the blueberry nicely and thats enough. some tannins in here, a ton of sweetness all through it making the body seem a lot, but i dont taste hardly any malt itself in this, more like fruit puree partially fermented, and as good as it tastes, it doesnt taste like beer, and it doesnt seem all that well refined, although better in that regard than the brains series beer i had in the same session. im never going to get fully behind beers that feel like this, but this is up there with the better ones ive had, and these guys seem to be driving the trend, not chasing it. great use of the fruit, this had to be expensive to make, too sweet and too chunky for me, but the flavors hit, the marshmallow part adds a lot actually, and i could easily see this being good in the morning at smoothie time. neat to have drekker in idaho now!

Exactly what I was looking for in a pastry blueberry sour; pours chunky and opaque dark purple with almost no pinkish head. Big-time nose of blueberry and dark fruits, plums, vanilla, berry tartness, sugary sweetness. Thick puree-like mouthfeel, not overly sweet but minimally sour as well, smooth vanilla-marshmallow blueberry palate from start to finish.

 

Drekker Chonk Blueberry Fluff Sundae Sour, 6.3% ABV. Pours thick and opaque purple with a slight pink head that left puree residue. Aroma is blueberry and marshmallow. Taste follows, plus plum, quite sweet, slightly tart. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Drekker once again uses plum to cut the tartness, works great.

Look: Cloudy dark purple pouring a pink half finger head which slowly dissipated into a med ring with sheeting
Smell: marshmallow and blueberries, hint of malt and citric acid. Weak nose
Taste: Sweet blueberry and plum with a tad bit of vanilla. Fades to tart blueberry with some alcohol mixed in. Finish is malty and sweet blueberry with a back note of plum
Feel: Med body, with gentle carbonation and silky texture. Smooth finish
Overall: Very good. Everything is there. Another great one from Drekker

16oz can. Date stamp on can bottom reads 'CANNED ON 07/05/23'.
Opaque, beet red colored body. No real head upon pouring but there is a puree particle skim on the surface plus on the walls.
Aroma is big with marshmallow and blueberry. Also some lemon cream.
Taste is like a melted fruit flavored ice cream, with a definite blueberry component. Also the marshmallow comes through. The plum is an added minor flavor. Moderately sweet.
Thicker mouth feel, with small particles included. Takes a few swallows to get down each sip. Is there carbonation?
Concoction that is both sweet and a little tart, but no alcohol presence. Make sure to clean out the glass before the puree skim dries out.
