The Hammer West Coast IPA is built on a malt backbone with notes of Biscoff cookies, toasty malt and a clean sweetness that finishes crisp and dry. It’s hopped with Centennial, Simcoe, Amarillo and Azacca that deliver huge flavors of grapefruit, peach, pine, apricot and finishes with that signature West Coast bitterness. It’s so good we’re kinda wondering if we should keep it in the rotation. You let us know what you think.

Drekker The Hammer West Coast IPA, 6.7% ABV. Pours dark-orange with a 4+ finger white head that left great lacing. Nose is sweet malt and citrus. Taste is pine, grapefruit, fruit, quite bitter bite. Dry mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Pours an apricot orange, with three fingers of foamy head. Smells of hops, predominately centennial and simcoe. Taste is crisp, danky, bitter, characteristics of pine and grapefruit, your typical WIPA. Mouthfeel is moderately carbonated, somewhat thin mouthfeel. Finish is ample hop bitterness.

16oz can. Stamp on bottom reads 'CANNED ON 09/12/23'.
Clear, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of tight bubble white head, which collapses to a high ring and islands. Leaves behind wide horizontal bands of lacing.
Aroma of grapefruit, peach, apricot, and pine resin. Bready malt base.
Taste has a good balance between the sweetness and the pine resin bitterness. With a solid toasted malt base, other flavors that express are peach, grapefruit, and apricot. Sweet and bitter extend into the aftertaste, along with the fruit flavors.
Medium mouth feel, with a bit of syrup. Crisp and clean finish. Numbs the tongue. Very good carbonation.
Both the sweetness and the bitterness are there but not to an extreme, which makes it easy to quaff. Solid in style for a West Coast IPA.
