From a 500ml bottle. Bottled in June of 2024.
Slight hiss upon opening the bottle. This is a thick looking pitch black colored beer. The head was slow to form, but was a 1 finger brown color. The head was slow to form, but dissipated rapidly, leaving no lacing on the glass, or any sign it was there at all.
Aroma is complex. There's a grain, granola scent. There's hints of vanilla, lactose, cinnamon, and lactose. There's also hints of chocolate, caramel, and toffee. Quite a pleasing mix.
Taste - The flavor starts off mellow with a good hit of chocolate, caramel and toffee. This flavor fades out and there is an amazing blast of cinnamon. The vanilla and lactose hit on the back side. Throughout this beer there's a subtle granola flavor that just ties it all together.
This body is pretty good, though it does seem a bit thin for a beer that is almost 14%. There's a very faint burn that hits on the way back of this beer.
