This new Bumbleberry Cheesecake Sour a la Mode is absolutely loaded with blueberry, blackberry, raspberry and plum. Then of course we threw in a bunch of granola and cream cheese to dial in that sweet and crusty goodness and cheesecake-ify it all.

looks like there is also a non cheesecake version of this one, but i think i have the right one here, should have maybe looked closer when i ordered it, but also who makes multiple bumbleberry dessert beers? these guys apparently, but whatever, seeing more from these guys on tap around boise lately, for better or worse, but this is one of the good ones, weird as adding cheesecake to beer really is, why does it persist? is this stuff selling? i suppose fools like me are at least trying in on tap. anyway, its wild looking, smoothie thick, pulpy with visible fruit bits and such and a dense as can be almost partially frozen looking permanent marker purple color, very little head with how thick it is, and it drinks like a smoothie too, palate coating, throat coating, more like a health drink than a beer to me, even with the cheesecake aspect and all the overt sweetness. it smells like tart blueberries and blackberries but doesnt really seem bacterially sour per se, so few of these do with all the stuff they cram into them, raspberry and plum are much less obvious than the darker berries, some honey sweetness is here but very little malt to me, subtle vanilla, and that tangy cream cheese heavy fatty dairy thing which is super weird, but also it smells like a fruit covered slice of cheesecake, and thats pretty darn delicious. i think the flavor is even better than the nose believe it or not, more fruit than cream cheese which i am thankful for, the crust aspect is there a little bit but its still not grainy, maybe a hint of cinnamon or something, tons of berry character, puree im sure, tart elements and tannins from the skins and stuff, seems more or less like real fruit, could be fermented drier, but this has to be a stressful environment for yeast with all this dairy and stuff no? fruit smoothie more than beer, but the flavor is undeniable, and there is definitely a cheesecake taste on the back end especially. not really my kind of thing, the thickness is pretty whack too, but it is what it says it is, and it gets closer to this than anyone else really has, i have to respect the effort, even if i have disdain for the existence of the category...

Drekker Bumbleberry Cheesecake Slang Du Jour Sour à la Mode, 6.5% ABV. Pours maroon, with a slight pink head that left lacing and puree residue. Aroma is berry mashup, lactose, vanilla, and graham. Taste is largely berry, a bit of graham, quite tart, slightly bitter, slightly sweet. Thin mouthfeel, overall very good.
