1 PINT can
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours yellow and hazy. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves nice lacing.
It smells a little sweet. I get grapefruit along with some tropical notes.
Initial sweetness that plays well with the tropical and citrus flavors.
Full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel
Nice beer

Drekker Truly, Madly, Deeply DNEIPA, 8.2% ABV. Pours hazy orange with a 4-finger white head that left a lot of lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and light pine. Taste follows, quite sweet, slightly bitter. Nice dry mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Canned 11/4/2024 (11 days ago)
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy, medium to hazy, pale yellow color with a strong white head that lingers. SRM of 7. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple, mango upfront. Definite hop burn lingers. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors follow with grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple, and some tropical mango/melon notes underneath. Phenolic hop burn lingers in the middle before a tropical sweet finish. (4.00)
Feel: Medium to heavier bodied, strong carbonation. Phenolic and slightly sweet finish. (4.00)
Compared to Drekker Doomsday Device 12/24: Pours identical, stronger aromas. More citrus, white grape, guava, and zest. Less tropical melon/berries. Brighter.
Overall: A super fresh IPA from Drekker. When you can get an IPA 11 days fresh such a great brewery two states away, we are truly living in great times. This is a new release from Drekker. Some Citra plus some Simcoe and HBC586 to add some tropical notes.
IPAs can be too fresh. This is another time when I jumped the gun too early. That distinct and vague hop burn aroma and flavor. Not bad, but I can tell this needs a couple more weeks to settle into it's full form.
Updated rating 12/24: Has settled down a bit and the flavors round out. Grapefruit, passionfruit, pineapple, guava with some tropical notes underneath. Zesty and citrus on the finish. Clean and balanced. Mildly sweet. Outstanding. (Rating: 4.17)
