Music and Pageantry isn’t just a West Coast IPA—it’s a full-on parade for your palate. Citra, Citra Cryo, NZ Cascade and Nelson Sauvin march in super mega perfect unison, blasting bright citrus, white grape and tropical fruit notes over a crisp, clean malt backbone. It’s loud, it’s proud, it’s got sequins in all the right places, and it always ends with a high-step finish that leaves you wagging your foam finger wildly.

Drekker Music & Pageantry West Coast DIPA, 7.7% ABV. Pours golden, with a two-finger white head that lift slight lacing. Aroma is flowers and dark fruit. Taste is citrus and pine, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, if a smidge over-carbonated. Overall very good to excellent adjacent. Surprisingly low bitterness for a West Coast DIPA.

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear (60% clarity) medium yellow body with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)

Aroma: Aromas of floral and piney with some stone fruit underneath. (3.75)

Flavor: Flavors of orange, floral, tangerine, peach with some pie notes underneath. (4.00)

Feel: Medium body, strong, carbonation, smooth with a mild bitterness. (3.50)

Compared to Luce Line New Zealand Joy Ride 10/25: Pours similar, milder head. Stronger aromas. More stonefruit and floral notes. Less citrus and pine. Less bitter. Winner: Luce Line

Overall: A new release Music and Pageantry. Some tangerine, stonefruit, floral notes. Not much Nelson flavor that I can appreciate and not very bitter either. Somewhat unimpressed here. I thought their Hop Diss Track was much better for a WCIPA, and would be an interesting beer battle. (Rating: 3.84)
