Not all “fun” is created equal. Type 1 fun is the stuff you actually enjoy while you’re doing it. Type 2 fun is miserable in the moment but hilarious to look back on later. And then there’s Type 3 Fun—the kind that’s downright awful, the misadventure you’d never willingly repeat, the story your brain immediately tries to bury in the vault of “let’s never talk about that again.” Luckily, this beer is the exact opposite. We teamed up with our friends at Deciduous Brewing to create an IPA that’s built on a base of 2 Row, white wheat, chit and flaked oats, and blasted with Citra, Peacharine and Maui Nelson hop kief. It bursts with bright waves of peach, citrus and tropical fruit before settling into a crisp, zesty finish.

Drekker/Deciduous collab Type 3 Fun NEIPA, 6.5% ABV. Pours hazy golden with a 3 finger white head that left great lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. Taste is citrus, moderately bitter, slightly sweet. OK mouthfeel, slightly dry. Overall very good.

Look - pale golden yellow with a minimal head soon after pouring into a pint glass
Smell - light and non-aggressive. Nice peach and grape notes with a touch of honey
Taste - smooth with some citrus and some stone fruit mixing really nicely. This is a non-bitter, more fruit forward brew.
Feel - a little thin in mouthfeel but still quite solid - the carbonation holds its own against others of similar style
Overall - I really liked this. It has a pleasant nose, the taste could be a little sweeter, but it is a solid, fruit forward offering. I'd buy this again.

Pours a very hazed gold with a thumb+ of eggshell colored head. Above average head retention very nice lacing

S: Citrus & peaches, some onion notes once warmed up, but also strawberry & more peach

T: Follows the nose, mango, passion fruit & tangerine up front. More peaches, passion fruit, tangerine & dryness as this beer warms up. Finishes a little dry with tropical fruit & citrus ( lime & tangerine )

MF: Medium body, fairly smooth carbonation

Very drinkable, wish I had drank it a few weeks early for optimal freshness, I confused with another Drekker from that haul

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, passion fruit, peach and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a mild bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) medium color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of bright berries, grape, vinous notes. Some smooth peach, orange, and lime underneath. (4.25)

Flavor: The flavors follow with orange, creamy peach, bright berries, and vinous grape. lingering tropical berry and peach notes. Smooth oat malt for a creamy finish. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-body, strong carbonation. Smooth, creamy finish. (4.00)

Overall: Another Drekker IPA here. Fantastic hop combination with Citra plus the addition of Nelson and Peacharine to add a vinous grape and creamy peach flavor. Tropical berry notes. Then a smooth oat malt body. This is packed with hop flavor and complexity. This is dynamic at only 6.5%. Might have to find another. (Rating: 4.13)
