Pours thick and black with a dark copper foam. The foam dissipates a little quicker than I would like, but still a great look to this beer.
Smell is chocolate and licorice. I get a faint touch of bourbon.
Taste is bitter dark chocolate first and foremost. It is not a light flavor, instead it comes screaming out at you. You can tell it is barrel aged, but it is a lighter flavor and not overpowering at all.
Feel is smooth. A light bit of the carbonation fizz, but not too much of the thin feel that can accompany that.
Overall, a great beer. Like all BA imperial stouts, it is more expensive, but I would buy it again for sure.
