This new brew from the Super Mega Funk Department has us spinnin' right round with excitement! Like a Record Baby is a mixed-culture Berliner Weisse that was fermented in our oak foeders with our house blend lactobacillus and brettanomyces, then blended with a Saison that was aged in red wine barrels to give it jusssst the perfect amount of tartness that's a little bit WarHead, a little bit AirHead Extreme candy paired with a cherry flavor that we think you're really gonna love.

500ml bottle. No dating information found.
Partly cloudy, straw colored body. Some darker chunks come with the dregs. Brief lasting white, fizzy head. No lacing.
Aroma of funk, oak, red wine, lemon, and cherry.
Taste is supremely tart, with a sour edge, but fruity. Flavors of funk (leather and horse blanket), lemon throughout, mid-point oak, red wine comes in late, revolving stone fruit (cherry and apricot). Hint of vanilla in the aftertaste, which strips the palate away quickly.
More than medium mouthfeel. Part of the pass-through profile is a smooth vanilla cream texture; this is more at the end. First sip is a tooth scraper and then the mouth adapts, but sour all the way through. Good carbonation - slight foam rises when the cap is removed.
Intense and layered, but not too much (if one is acquainted with sour brews). Not a entry level sour, more advanced but rewarding. For an experienced sour/tart beer drinker, this hits the spot.
