Can: pours a clear pale yellow beer with a 2 finger white cap....Aromas are one dimensional , basically boiled grains and some yeast funk...flavor is malt forward with some hop balance kicking in late in the finish...thin mouth feel and a tad weak in AVB for the style...DEFINITELY NOT AN ALTBIER...not even close, too malty to be a Kolsch....unispired, thin and misnamed...the beer has no off tastes but I'm rating this low because I hate being scammed by beer marketeers who insult my intelligence....

Pours pale amber with moderate rather fluffy head. Slightly grainy aroma, malt sweetness, not much bitterness and non of the more ale like esthers I would expect in this style.

Straw and slightly hazy, moderate carbonation and a finger of white head.
Smells of pee, wet dog, cardboard and malts.
Tastes very vinous and kolsch like, malty, and has a hint of crispness.
Light body, and highly carbonated.
Decent taste, smells a little off putting, but delicious on the tongue. Drinking in Muskoka, March 8th, 2018.

Bright yellow gold that pours a moderate head settling to a ring with just a bit of spotty lace. Lightweight nose with just a hint of grain, grass, lemon. Starts tart, , has so e sparkle, finishes dry. Doesn't have the juiciness of most kölsches. Grain to taste, pretty nicely balanced against grass and lemon. Not bad drinking.
Note my can calls this a lagered ale/altbier.

473 ml can served cool into a tulip. purchased from the LCBO for approximately $3 CDN.
Appearance - Pours and amber colored beer, with a minimal half finger of head that fades nearly as fast a pop does. Great clarity but not a whole lot going on in the carbonation department either. Most amber kolsch I've ever seen as well. Grading this as an amber lager or ale.
Smell - Rather grainy, with some undercooked bready aromas parsed in as well. Light floral esters as well. Decent nose.
Taste - Also rather grainy, more of an amber lagered ale than anything else as the slightly fruity / sour / vinous characteristic found with many kolschs. Light with enough sweetness to make it interesting without being overly sweet.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and fairly creamy decent level of carbonation gives a slightly spritzy feeling on the tongue. Easy to drink light body with just enough substance to make this feel like a little bigger beer than it is.
Overall - As mentioned in thehyperduck's review, Track 85 isn't as good as their other offerings, yet still quite drinkable and enjoyable on it's own. If you're looking for a light amber lagered ale with more heft than you might initially suspect, this could be a big winner for you. Otherwise, it's a solid if underspectacular amber lagered ale that achieves what it set out to do.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Apr 14 2016 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a clear orange-amber colour, with a finger of soapy, bone white-tinged froth that melts off over the next minute or two. A thin, bubbly collar survives amongs some scant lacing; looks ok. Not much to be heard from the nose - just some doughy malts, brown sugar and raisin butter tart.
Approachable flavour, but not as good as this outfit's previous releases. The flavour is dominated by a doughy, bready, somewhat grainy malt backbone with notes of toffee and pastry crust. Mild hints of pear and red apple, while the grassy noble hops only start to come through at the finish - supplying only a modest amount of bitterness that doesn't match up to the malts. Slightly sweet aftertaste; tastes stronger than it actually is, because at 4.5% this should be pretty poundable. Personally I'd prefer something a little drier if I'm going to be drinking multiples, though. Light in body, with middling carbonation levels that offer up an appropriate bite, resulting in a smooth, slightly crisp mouthfeel. Kind of refreshing, and not offensive, but mostly unremarkable.
Final Grade: 3.44, a B-. I can't find the term "kölsch" anywhere on the label, so while it might be convenient to stuff this 'lagered ale' into that category, grading Track 85 strictly to-style as a kölsch seems a bit presumptuous. I mean, a cream ale is also more-or-less a 'lagered ale', and after having tasted it I'd say it's closer to that than an actual kölsch. That being said, I am not exactly in love with this beer regardless of what it is, and would honestly rather be drinking their CPA or golden rye. A decent beer that I might sporadically return to.
