Clear copper red. Very short-lived head to a partial ring, no lace. Unimposing to look at. Caramel malt and a wee touch of grain on the nose. Thin-bodied with a little bit of sparkle from carbonation. Very light drinking caramel to taste, just a hint of bitterness washed away by a watery finish. A very soft quiet beer across the board that offers no offense.

Look: Pours amber, with a small white head that is gone before you know it.
Smell: very muted and delicate, I noted some grains
Taste: Dry grains, maybe a bit musty up front with a tart back end
Mouthfeel: Crisp and tart but muted.
Overall: Nothing of interest for me here. This might be due as much to the altbier style as to this beer in particular. This beer earns a C.
Other reviewers have noted this is a rebranded beer. Old Tomorrow used to sell this as Track 85.

473 mL can from Superstore; best before Mar 11 2020 and served barely chilled.
Pours a clear copper-amber colour, graced with an inch of foamy, off white-tinged head that falls apart in about three minutes' time. A messy swath of seafoam lace has been left in its wake, with a decent collar of soapy froth also remaining in place - it definitely looks 'browner' than I recall of Track 85, which is of course apropos for an altbier. Muted aroma of caramelized sugars, doughy malts and grains.
In summary, it's unobjectionable, but it lacks the rich malt complexities of an actual German-made altbier. I'm getting toasted grains, and doughy, bready malts, as well as a bit of caramelized sweetness, and that's pretty much the consistent theme throughout. There're hints of grassiness towards the finish, but they don't gain any traction, as it's just more graininess lingering into the aftertaste, briefly. Light in body, with a crisp bite from the carbonation; feels smooth on the tongue. Drinkability is this beer's ace in the hole - it's the sort of thing that I could feasibly drink all night, though I'm not sure I'd want to.
Final Grade: 3.47, a B-. Compared to the bottle of Uerige Alt I had right afterwards, Lokal Düsseldorf Altbier came off as a cheap, knock-off imitation. Don't get me wrong - this is a tough style to really nail, and it's not a bad beer in and of itself... It's just not a very good altbier. To its credit, the flavours are reasonably well balanced, and if this is based on Track 85's recipe then at least they got the colour right this time. Tick it or leave it, there's nothing wrong with it.

Found out after the fact that this is rebranded Track 85. Scores pretty much the same as that brew - giving me some confidence in that by beer rating system isn't terribly flawed. 473 ml can served cool into a tulip. purchased from the LCBO for approximately $3.25 CDN. Brief review.
Appearance - Amber colored, small finger of head with good clarity.
Smell - Grainy with some cooked vegetative notes. Light floral backdrop.
Taste - Grainy with some sweetness, not a lot else.
Mouthfeel - Smooth, good carbonation and reasonably light body.
Overall - Passable altbier, but better options exist.
