12oz can served in a curvy Fremont glass. Date on the bottom of the can is only half-legible, and seems to indicate it was canned sometime in November of 2023. Got it from @ovaltine in NBS BIF #18.
Pours a rich dark caramel color, slight haze, big creamy head, settles over a few minutes into a thick, lumpy skin. Moderate amount of active carbonation, very fine. Smell is brighter than expected. Light caramel, bright orange, maybe some orange blossom. Seems to be some earthiness lurking in the background.
Taste is also interesting. Earthiness from the aroma seems to have turned into a dry, crumbling wood. Orange and orange blossom are still there, but darkened somewhat, maybe toasted a bit? Malt is certainly taking center stage, though. Straight up graininess along with a strong biscuit flavor, caramel is still there, too.
Mouthfeel is on the thick side of medium but far from oppressive. Overall, this is both good and interesting.

Pours a beautiful clear dark brown color with a creamy light tan head that provides a surprising amount of lacing. The nose is stone fruit, toffee, and some wheat bread, which is where the taste lands. The full mouthfeel fits this delicious beer perfectly. Really good barleywine, IMHO.

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a hazy brownish amber with thin off white ring head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had semi sweet caramel malt and dark fruit. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with rich caramel malt base with toasted grain, fig and booze presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
