Pleasantly subtle notes of ripe apples, biscuits, white pepper, butterscotch, and sweet caramel compose the bouquet for this sublimely balanced bitter. Honey-like sweetness comprises the bulk of the remaining aroma.
Bready grainy malts hit fast and hard, leaving behind a pleasant bitter afterthought with a hint of dark chocolate and roasted malts. There's also a ripe apple / caramel-like sweetness that surfaces after the bitter adding a complex dimension to this seemingly simple brew.
Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. The brew has a slick buttery texture to it that gently envelops your tongue with each sip; the gentle carbonation rounds off the well-orchestrated sensation on the palate -- they should have called this one "Slow" instead of their flagship Session IPA; this could be anyone's stay-at-home table beer, providing you give it time to grow on you.
