Clear, bubbly and bright with a sunshine yellow color, poured with two fingers of fluffy white head that had a moderate retention and light lacing.
Light aroma of some citrus, maybe some lemons and oranges as well as a snappy noble hop.
Flavor forward is a light lemony citrus and pithy hop with a mild sweetness that becomes more pronounced as it warms.
Light bodied with a highish carbonation to it but with a slightly earthy malt that has ghostly traces of faintly spicy rye hints to it.
Surprisingly hoppy finish, still mild compared to an IPA but more then expected from a lager, land a bit closer to a steam beer or California commons style, flavor profile is a herbal/grassy noble hop that leaves a lightly lemony aftertaste with a faintly herbal trace to it.

355ml can, part of the current Old Yale winter mixed pack - funny how I could uncharacteristically crack this one open in my Alberta backyard right about now!
This beer pours a clear, bright pale golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and mildly bubbly off-white head, which leaves some landward ho profile lace around the glass as it quickly subsides.
It smells of gritty and grainy pale malt, a touch of biscuity graininess, subtle lager yeast notes, and a sense of hoppy goodness unrequited. The taste is bready and crackery pale malt, a touch of red apple and underripe pear fruitiness, some still extant and mildly phenolic yeastiness, and more plain earthy, weedy, and dead grassy hoppiness.
The bubbles are fairly active in their generally probing frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and sort of smooth, with a touch of biscuity essence perhaps taking a chunk out of that metric here. It finishes trending dry, the generic graininess not facing much in the way of competition.
Overall, this is yet another wan and very hard to get into Canadian lager - nothing wrong with it, per se, but nothing really stands out, either. I got bored writing this review, generally because I got bored drinking this beer - nothing less, nothing more.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
