Cloudy orange-pink color. The head was a pale pink. The head took a minute or two to drop down to a patchy skiff, leaving no lacing. It was too opaque to be able to see the carbonation level.
The scent was dominated by a sweet funk that was close to barnyard. Some light, indistinct fruit with powdered sugar. Swirling the glass boosted everything that had already been picked up.
Very tart with some light fruit. The tart blends with the funk. The ginger shows up as it warms in the mouth. The flavor profile is actually very light, aside from the tart. The aftertaste sticks with the tart and picks up a very light bitter.
Tongue tingling as it quickly foams up to some medium sized bubbles. Lower levels of carbonation towards the end of the glass. Medium astringency.
There is surprisingly little flavor from the fruit. This comes across as a sour with some berries and ginger as garnish. I like the way the fruit is dialed back, but the base sour could have been a bit bolder. Very pretty color in the glass.
