The second iteration in the "Cakes" series, Krispie was brewed with 200 pounds of puffed rice and 200 pounds of Rice Krispies (of course!). We added marshmallow fluff in the boil and finished it off with pounds and pounds of vanilla. It's like drinking a fresh pan of rice krispie treats! TREAT YOURSELF!

Woo-hoo! 16 oz can, dated 6/22/20, into BIBCO Willie.
Hazy straw blonde with a creamy cap of 1 finger that recedes to a thin ring rather quickly but leaves generous lace.
This beer literally smells like a Rice Krispy bar with just the faintest hint of pilsner malt behind it. IMPRESSIVE!
Flavor is a mixture of Rice Krispy bar and pilsner, about 40/60. It's like if you were drinking a pilsner and eating a Rice Krispy bar. Not a great combo, but a cool accomplishment for a beer. Some whipped cream and cookie dough action as well. Lemon bars if you try for it. This beer drinks infinitely better from the can.
Feel is a bit starchy on the palate, with a busy carbonation and quite a bit of creaminess and stickiness. Very mild heat but nearly undetectable. Thicker and creamier than most blondes.
Overall, an impressive beer that grows a little sweet on the palate but not overwhelmingly so. It really does portray Rice Krispy bars in beer form, but fights between its "beer-iness" and overly sweet marsh. It's hard to really place this in a forseeable rotation for me, as it's not full pastry, nor is it an easy drinking blonde. It drinks a bit heavy for a blonde ale, not unlike the thickness a marshmallow embodies.
Price paid : $3.49 / can

Aroma is really big rice crispy/sweet cake. The flavor is malts, marshmallow/rice crispies, fruit, a hint of tropical fruit and a sweet/slightly warming finish.

16oz can. Poured out a bright, clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace. It smelled of vanilla, marshmallow, caramel and toffee. Sweet toffee, marshmallow, vanilla and a mild bitterness. Crisp and smooth.

This brew is a very hazy, almost milky, straw color. The head is fizzy and quickly falls to nothing. The aroma is intensely vanilla. Frankly, it is really hard to find flavors other than vanilla. The taste is quiet sweet...it tastes like a light vanilla sponge cake. Interesting, but not quite beer-like.

Tasted in a snifter from draft at Consume on December 20, 2019. Krispie Cakes is brewed with pounds and pounds of vanilla, marshmallow, and a whole lot of loving. It’s like drinking a fresh pan of rice krispie treats.

Taste: sweet, creamy, marshmallows, rice crispy treats. Cupcake marshmallow nose. Bright yellow hue, opaque, delicate head and lace. Medium body. A dessert ale for sure.

Had on tap. This was a sweet one, with a smattering of marshmallow, whipped creme and sugared blonde malt. Not complex, not thick or deep, just a solid dessert beer that is very drinkable. Has hints of maple, cookie dough and lemon as well. Little too sweet for me, needed something else to balance, but the wife loved it.
