Poured into tulip glass.
Lemon zest nose with pineapple, guava, and floral notes.
Taste is very tangy, but balanced so its not a lemon bomb. Classic underlying floral and bubblegum saison flavors.
Full bodied with a well carbed finish.
Very distinct saison, drinks like wild ale.

Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.
See, it's mutation without the pene-- well, I'll tell you when you're older, 'kay, kids? Anyway, this stuff pours a partly cloudy amber-brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises funky wheat, wet grass, light loam, and a touch of mushroom. The taste brings in more of the same, the funk really bringing the heat now, adding in a mild tartness, mixing with some sourdough-like aspects, and even what feels like a touch of dark smoke in the background at times. It's a wild combination, always keeping your tongue guessing, but it never fully clashes. Nicely done. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a highly complex, very interesting, and pretty tasty funky saison.
