Poured tall can into a snifter. Cloudy pale gold. Small, creamwhite head that fades.
Big bubblegum nose.
Taste: Whoooo. Lemon meringue pie, floral hops, light clove, grassy finish.
Medium dry mouth. Dusty finish.
Pretty good stuff. Maplewood is hit or miss for me but they're always interesting at least.

Gold in color with vibrant carbonation. There’s a a quarter inch of off white on top. The aroma is of light Belgian wheat. I’m tasting light, Crackery white light malt, and crisp light, crackery wheat. The mouth is very light crisp and easygoing.

16oz can. Poured out a slightly cloudy, straw yellow color with a large, off-white head of foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of coriander, bubblegum, cracked wheat and yeasty notes. Sweet wheat, citrus, lemon and a spicy kick.

Bought from The Beer Temple and poured into a tulip. Willo Looks authentic. Also Smells authentic, orange and lemon notes with modest spicing of coriander. Well-balanced Tastes of a wheat-dominated malt bill. But along come the hops in mid-palate and they only increase their presence. Even though Maplewood makes its money on IPAs, my only suggestion to them is to lower the IBU. The medium-mouth is genuine, too.
Overall, I might have Willo again in the summer for refreshment... but the bitter hops do not let Willo compete with the table wits. Maplewood remains enigmatic to me as a malt-head. But thanks for venturing into one of my favorite styles.
