500ml bottle into Duvel tulip. Batch 1 bottled 9/15.
Appearance: Hazed-to-opaque yellow. Frothy white head with good lacing.
Smell: Fresh and minerally, tinged with Brett tang. I don't know what hop they dry hopped with, but there's some bright citrus early on--within minutes it's been dominated into nonexistence by some barnyard-y Brett. Retains that lovely, mineraly / fresh water aroma that reminds me of Belgian saisons with Brett.
Taste: Like the nose, reminds me of Fantome Saison--decidedly Bretty, but soft and pleasant. Delicately floral and fruity, finishing extremely clean; some Brett tang shows up before it gets very dry and then rather watery through the clean dry finish. I like it.
This is an enjoyable beer, with lots of flavor up front. The black pepper finish along with the Brett tang combine to come across as too "dark" or harsh a flavor for me... I like the pepper&Brett on its own, but I feel like it clashes with the wateriness and the subtle fruity flavors that make up the better parts of the taste. In other words, everything is good, but I'm not sure it's singing in harmony.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied. Low side of moderate carbonation, very dry finish. Watery in an "I can drink a lot of this" way, and still interesting because it's so dry and slightly puckering.
Overall: Hard to score... on the one hand, it's good but not great. On the other hand, it's unique, pleasant, and skillfully made enough that lovers of the style really ought to seek it (and anything else Kent Falls makes) out. I'm tempted to push the score up, but for me I think the story is more about "good but not great". Anyway, there's nothing wrong with being good.

Prototypical yeasty looking translucent saison look. No head. Some streaming bubbles. Some citrusy hop smell and the brett comes through huge. Peppery taste and hop bitterness. Not much yeast taste. Carbonation follows the tongue and runs down quick, with not much lingering. A little bitter tartness aftertaste. Very good beer. Cant wait to buy more.

Look.....cloudy golden with a thin bone white head. Dissipates quickly
Smell.....this is where the beer shines. Brett funk and just a touch of dankness from the dry hopping. Really inviting !
Taste.....falls a bit flat but I concede it may be only because at 4% the brett has really dried this out! Bone dry, completely cleanses the palate. FruitNess and funk from the brett in the taste. Not much in the way of malt. Again, dry as hell!
Mouthfeel....DRY! , thinner than I'd like but not a bad thing at 4%.
Overall......Kent falls is really doing nice things. This beer is a great session/table beer! I could drink this all day. Would be money on the beach in cans!
