Fall on the farm is one of the most beautiful times of the year. Unusual days reminiscent of summer with a crisp cool wind to keep your mind at ease. This autumnal riff on our house pilsner, The Hollow features a Munich malt addition to the grain bill for enhanced sweetness, body, and color to match the foliage of the hills. Local and German Tettnang hop additions balance the maltier base with a refreshing bitterness, floral notes and pine.

Tall can, 11/7/17, 2 months in the can

Pours light amber, lightly hazed minor fine bubble head, and leaving equally minor lacing....meh look to this one.

Sniff has a slightly off putting stale kinda quality. ( 2 months in the can? )

Nothing very exciting going on on the palate here, malted up, some ripe dark fruits. Again meh, with so many great beers being brewed out there these days...pass this one by

Pale gold color with a mild haze. Lasting moderate head which leaves thin rings of lace after each sip with nice connecting streaks.

More pale malt aroma than anything else. I couldn't detect any adjuncts, a big plus. Very (very) faint hop nose.

Slightly sweet with a light toast flavor. Again, no adjuncts! The hop is distinctive on the tongue. A well balanced finished leaving a moderate aftertaste. The body is richer than I expect from a pale lager. The carbonation is typical for the style. Overall, this is better beer, imho, than the reviews have thus far given it. It wouldn't be confused with a superior Pilsner but it holds its own for an American hopped pale lager.

Acquired this CT can in a trade. Horrible can design but very decent product inside. Can says "Fall Lager" but the product tastes as if it would be applicable to any season. ABV of 5.5% indicates this is not a weak and watery Lager but also one that can be treated in somewhat the same mode as a session beer. Glad to see this young brewery distributing a Lager rather than every possible version of an IPPA.
