Appearance - dark mahogany body with khaki head
Smell - maple, umami (Soy Sauce), toffee, roasted malts, cola
Taste - maple, baker's chocolate, umami, roasted malts
Mouthfeel - medium bodied, medium carbonation, slight maple sweetness upfront, middle is umami and maple is long in the finish
Overall - nice use of maple in this beer, it is present without being totally dominant. Certainly worth a try.
Price Point - $4.99/16 oz can

On tap at Delaware Supply in Albany, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like mostly sweet and sticky maple syrup, with dark chocolate, and a light earthy aroma that has to be coming from the mushrooms.
This is really unique. You don't get any truly direct taste from the mushrooms, but they give the beer a sort of uniquely fluffy and earthy feel. It definitely helps to keep the sweetness from the maple down. It's sticky in the maple department, with a nice chocolatey backbone. I dig it.
This is medium bodied and very creamy, with a typical level of carbonation.
Kent Falls is certainly not afraid of pushing the envelope and making a weird beer. Sometimes it works really well. This is one of those times.

Inky black body with a one finger beige head that dissipates quickly.
The aroma is roasted malts, weak coffee, rich maple syrup and some earthiness from the mushrooms.
The taste is roasted malts and coffee. Clean and delicate for an 8% stout. Hints of maple and some earthiness.
Medium body, light mouth feel for the style. Lower carbonation with some pepperiness in the finish from the hops. Earthy, roasty finish.
