Waggle, is a blend of farmhouse ales brewed with honey and aged in various oak barrels. As the beer develops in each barrel we look for one particular barrel which best exemplifies wildflower aromatics, and other character reminiscent of the honey added at multiple stages of the beer’s fermentation process.

What is it and why should you care?
Yet another example of Kent Falls embracing the brewers role in agriculture. The honey for this beer comes from Beavertides regenerative farm, the same folks who KF worked with for Medio. Honey and bees are a reflection of place, something many progressive breweries try to highlight. This wildflower honey is added throughout the brewing process to impart a full flavor spectrum, and the grist of local pilsner and wheat supports that effort.
No packaging faults, pours fairly clear with a short but stable head
Aroma: Soft, clean, fresh, farmy. White flower blossoms, tomato leaf, green grapes, firm clementine brings brightness and a smile. It leaps without attacking, subtle but sure of itself.
Palate: Acidity is perfect, nothing creeping up your retro nasal. There is a little more orchard fruit and hay pastoral vibe, as opposed to the garden fresh on the nose. Lovage minerality comes through increasing the length of the finish but contributing minimal additional weight to finish. The texture here is "take another smell and sip" not "ponder further about that taste."
Impressions: Reminds me of Petals. It's just so cheery, complex but straight forward. That lack of mystery probably enhances my enjoyment, and affirms the KF brewing philosophy.
