Petals highlights the bright herbaceous character of dandelions petals foraged from our farm. Brewed with Northeastern grown pilsner malt, and Connecticut grown triticale, our two blends of this beer have taken different turns – the first went through maturation time in oak, the second and current batch has been fermented exclusively in stainless steel with our preferred yeast cultures. The result is a bright and lemony profile highlighted by the seasonal twist of dandelions.

Pale, golden yellow body; lively carbonation; no head at first, then a partial, thin head after about 10 minutes. Horse blanket and sprightly lemon scent. The taste mirrors the lemon character of the aroma; some floral and grassy character; tart; very, very light malt in the background. Medium body; smooth; tangy.
An interesting steel vat fermented saison. Per the brewery's web site: the second and current batch has been fermented exclusively in stainless steel with our preferred yeast cultures.
Pouring temperature: 40 F: bottling data: Blend 2. Packaged January 2021
