Pours a very dark brown with a dark creamy coloured thin head which gave surprising retention but lacked lacing on the glass. The nose was of toasted barley and molasses. The taste starts of hoppy with a changing to lingering sweetness of burnt malts, leaving quite a sweet biscuit like taste lingering taste along with a slightly bitter citrus element. This would have been identical to a dark Scottish ale, however it was very light on the mouth, making it incredibly easy to drink. Got as part of a beer club box, I'm going to be ordering more :)
