Brown color and cloudy. For a Cask pour, it leaves a good head. A few streaks for lace.
A ton of very sweet caramel to the nose. Very much like a doppelbock or a wee heavy Scotch Ale.
Thin bodied with a lower carbonation level -- comes across watery. The taste is like toffee with bittering black pepper hop. The toffee wins out leaving a mild aftertaste. There's a bit of cardboard overall.

They call it a "cask ale" but it lacks the finish of a true cask ale. It has a bitter ending which doesn't really suit the categorization of cask ale. It was a good beer though. It certainly wasn't my favorite but it worth trying it

Unfiltered Red Ale - no carbonation added
Appearance - cloudy beer, unlike the red I guess this is the unfiltered part. Beer has a 1 finger off white/brown head. Hard to tell carbonation levels. Amazing lacing.
Smell - nice balance betwene hops and malts. This beer offers a bit of a spice to it as welll.
Taste - almost a flat tasting beer, they don't add any carbonation to the process. The beer has a bitterness to it near the end.
Mouthfeel - no carbonation added, but the bitterness has increased. Decent level of taste , it appeals to the palett.
Drinkability - I could drink a few of these but the unfiltered taste is dominant. Very happy I tried it.
