At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From Small Batch Dispatch's March curation. No date stamp or lot number. My 12th beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and 3rd for 2026. Exquisitely embraced by Sundae the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Aug 25 2021 and listed at 3.9%. Served slightly chilled.
Pours foggy and translucent, its pale yellow-coloured body capped off with nearly a finger of loose, soapy white foam that fades within a couple of minutes. A narrow band of even lace hangs just above a tight, frothy collar and filmy cap - looks ok. The aroma is pleasant, and surprisingly fragrant for such a light beer - I'm getting grainy, wheaty malts, together with hints of lemon, lime, pineapple and maybe just a touch of grape.
Ooh, this one is nice - very citrus-focused, particularly lemon, but I'm also getting a bit of a bergamot orange vibe. Hints of grapefruit, white grape and peach, with a pithy, almost tart finish followed by a quickly drying aftertaste. The wheaty graininess is discernible underneath it all, but the hops are attention hogs, and I love them for it. Light in body, with aggressive carbonation that gives a firm, prickly bite to this brew, remaining active even towards the end of the glass. A thirst-quenching IPA that practically compels you to keep taking sips - too bad I lack foresight and only bought the one can at an out-of-town bottle shop.
Final Grade: 4.04, an impressive A-. I've never been a big proponent or consumer of this substyle, but Rainhard's Daywalker is a solid session IPA that I could see myself seriously enjoying next summer. Easily one of the best of its kind that I've tried in 2021, it's delightfully citrusy and unbelievably refreshing. I've never seen this on retail shelves around here, but if I did spot it, I think I'd grab this again without even hesitating, which is not something I can say about many session IPAs at all. Good stuff, absolutely worth a spin.

Pours very light coloured like lemonade. Smells tropical. The taste has tropical hints of hops and slightly floral. Lots of flavour in this Micro IPA. tastes like a big and bold IPA. Mouthfeel is thin, but that’s ok for a low alcohol summer refresher. Overall, I’m impressed

Another great beer from Rainhard, the light IPA or easy drinking session beer - thin but balanced, v low aroma which is strange for so much flavour, easy to drink, hint of melon in the end is great.
