The nose is fairly fruity, with green grape scents noticeable. Pepper and a bit of other spice, along with a sweet bready scent. The taste is fairly close to the nose - spices, light fruit flavours (banana with some citrus) and a bready backing. The dry-hopping provides a slightly bitter finish. Refreshing and easy drinking. Good.

Pours a golden yellow with a thin layer of cream coloured head.
Nose is Belgian yeast esters, spice, pepper and sweet bread.
Palate is a nice spicy kick up front with Belgian yeast, pepper, lights citrus and a bready sweetness.

Pours a nice yellow colour with some haze clouding things up. Nice bubbly head of a couple inches froths up and sticks around for a little while. Nice carbonation rising to the top.
Really nice floral and fruity bouquet, a little citrus in the aromas. Some peppery scents coming through. Good yeast character.
Bright juicy fruits, white grape, orange juice, a little lemon. The dry hopping is clearly evident as more fresh citrus. A bitter bite kicks in over time. Some of the spice in the aroma is present but in the back and playing only a minor role. Finishes bitter and dry.
Overall on this one the nose duped me as it seemed to be foretelling a more barnyard saison experience. However Setting Sun focuses more on the fruity esters and fresh citrus hop profile than the funky spicy characteristics. These are the times of hops yet sometimes they should not be the star of the show - here, I find they wind up cutting off the saison flavours half way through. Still, very refreshing and a great beer for the final weeks of summer though I wish more of the barnyard/farmhouse funk was present.
