Picked up a single from the Appalachian Vintner 12-7-22 for $3.85. No canning date but presumably Fall 2022; consumed 6-14-23.
Beer poured solid gold with a nice white head with the original pour.
Nose is pretty nice; phenols are starting to come out giving notes of banana.
Taste is pretty well done as well. Large but heavier malt base works with the yeast and yields notes of banana and black pepper. Finishes a touch sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium to heavy bodied and smooth.
Overall not a bad beer but man, most American brewers struggle with mimicking what the Belgian masters can do with the Tripel style. Definitely too heavy and a touch sweet. Drinks more like a Belgian Blonde.
