12 oz can with a 23 December 2024 canning date stamped on the bottom.

Appearance. Near black body with a substantial beige head that leaves plentiful lacing on the glass.

This well crafted Oatmeal Stout has none of the flaws i found all too often in this style. It is built with a generous load of dark grains and a hop load that is well matched in terms of both impact and flavor profile.

12oz can. Bottom stamp is '12/03/24 C.O.D.'.
Clear, dark brown colored body. Thin tan colored head, which later is islands and a thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma of dark roasted malts that yield dark chocolate and dark roast coffee, with a bit of sweet caramel and a touch of nuttiness.
Taste is full with dark roasted malts that bring forth ethanol, with flavors of caramel, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, and a layer of nuttiness. Bitterness level is moderately high, but the sweetness provides a good balance. More nuttiness and coffee in the aftertaste.
Towards a thinner mouthfeel. Dry finish, but smooth during the sip. Good carbonation.
Oatmeal malt provides some tanginess but this really is about the dark roasted malts expressing flavors to fit the style.

Picked up a single from the Highland Lakes Ingles cooler 11-16-22 for $2.00. No canning date; consumed 4-30-23. Cold stored since purchased.

Beer poured black with a nice off white head with the original pour.

Nose is nice, hints of roasted malts and coffee.

Taste is really well done with a light heavily roasted malt base that gives notes of coffee and chocolate. Hopping is sufficient leaving a nice balanced finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.

Overall a nice interpretation of the style, would have again!

Either on tap or from a can, this is the perfect oatmeal stout. Yep, 5's all the way - black as night and nice head, rich malty aromas and the fresh clean taste is unbelievable. An absolutely perfect example of an oatmeal stout. Boojum rules, people

Drinking this at The Mason Bar in beautiful downtown Murphy NC.
Looks dark brown almost black with a very nice foamy tannish head that dropped quickly to a very thin cap.
Smells malty, sweet, chocolate, vanilla and coffee.
Taste follows the nose nicely with a nice milky clean finish.
Feels creamy without being overdone.
Overall a very nice example of a Oatmeal Stout that I would definitely order again.
Cheers.
