I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the brewery.
Appearance: super dark brown with a thin finger of white foam atop but a very nice lace left on the glass.
Smell: caramelly malt with a nice roasty element. Not especially complex, but nice.
Taste: malty with a good caramel character and a rather astringent roastiness.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a bit on the dry and astringent side, but overall a good porter.
