L: Mimosa with no head.
S: Has some surprising funk to it — Lemon zest, barnyard, tropical hops. Wondering where this will go.
T: Lemon zest, some light barnyard funk, cannabis
F: Medium bodied, a bit creamy, dry dank finish
O: Interesting drinking experience. Like a saison crossed with a NEIPA.

Surprised this is retired, as I doubt Tavour would sell two year old IPAs. This definitely didn’t taste like a two year old IPA, that’s for sure. Very hazy, pale orange, healthy head, slight lacing. Was pungently weedy dank at first pour, a citrusy smell when it settles in. Taste is a bit more bitter than I’d expect from
a NEIPA, but still lots of tangy juiciness from the citrusy notes. Mouth watering finish, subtle alcohol presence, medium bodied. This one enjoyed I did.

I was originally planning on writing a review riddle with Star Wars puns, but I don't know enough about the series, having only watched all of the movies in sequential orders once. But what I can tell you about the brew itself is that it's a pretty straightforward North East Style IPA:
An abundance of bright oranges, lemon zest, mango, papaya, and grainy oats both on the nose and palate. There's a slight bit of pleasant sweetness toward the back which lingers with each sip; otherwise the brew presents a pretty dry finish. There's a bit of hop burn/spiciness on every other sip or so.
Medium-light bodied with a nice sticky mouthfeel. The brew feels slightly creamy and velvety at first, but evens out with time and temperature. Gentle, pleasant carbonation with no discernible heat.
Overall a solidly-constructed "NEIPA" which possesses all the fundamental building blocks of the style but fails to make a breakthrough impact.
I know I'm supposed to stay objective in terms of cost, but as solid as this brew is, I feel that it under-delivers for the price it charges per four pack.

Figuring a NE style attempt from the name, nose & appearance. Those are SO HOT RIGHT NOW. Nose was just a thing of beauty. Sadly misleading because the taste didn't match up. Solid beer though. One & done.
