El Técnico® is Barley Forge’s amber ale. Brewed with agave extract and a grain bill of UK and US pale malts, Munich malt, UK dark crystal and Victory malt, this beer has a complex maltiness balanced against Cascade and Centennial hops and the residual sweetness of the agave. This ruby red amber pairs well with spicy Mexican food or any type of grilled meat.

The look on this reminded me of an old penny that was left in the sun for too long. The beer had a fair amount of lacing and quarter inch of head that slowly diminished.
The smell came off piney to me with a hint of caramel. It brought me back to driving throughout the woods when we would visit Yosemite.
The taste was consistent but had no stay. It came off instantly smokey and bold that vanishes almost as quickly as it came on. This beer isn't too bold or too much to handle by any means it just hit me right away.
The feel was full of carbonation and again hits you with a bold smoke and it doesn't have any lingering taste making you want more.
Overall, this beer won't disappoint but just one is enough. Initially, this is a nice tasty beer; however, it doesn't have a lasting flavor and lacks much of a profile that makes you want more. This is a good beer to start with in a flight or beer share night with the fellas. It doesn't bring much to the table but it won't be the dud of the night.
