12 oz can from Tavour. Black, oily pour, no head to speak of. Aroma and taste are big, full coconut notes, some chocolate. Right amount of sweetness and velvety smooth. I enjoyed the hell out of this.

12 oz. can:

Pours black. A thin head becomes a lasting wisp. Little lacing.

Robust aroma - coconut, chocolate, minty rye.

It is liquid candy - chocolate covered coconut. Rye adds mint character.

It is sweet, but not overly so. Very smooth.

Very well-made. An enjoyable stout with coconut and rye. Unique.

Tasting this took me back to my mom's sweet and sticky coconut almond macaroons. The excellent balance of almond coconut, and coco nibs flavor is exquisite and I recommend this beer to anyone that can came by it. The nitro came off as less flavorful but creamier.

Can notes: "No horsing around - your quest for the holy grail of stouts has ended, brave traveler. Set down that heavy load and clap hands for the dense tropical flavor of this unusual stout, brewed with flaked rye, chocolate rye, several specialty malts, and a hefty amount of coconut. This medium-bodied beers offers rye spiciness balanced by sweet coconut with hints of dark chocolate and espresso. The Patsy is the perfect pair for a hearty winter meal, or to reward you after a journey through the Kingdom of Mercia."

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Canning date is stamped as '10/02/18'.
Black colored body with brown back lit highlights. Half a finger of light tan head settles back to thin film and active ring. Each sip leaves a sheet of lacing that coalesces into a pattern of small irregular spots.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, with coconut and hazelnut.
Taste is dark roasted malts of slight char, dark chocolate, and coffee, with a spicy rye note. Lots of natural coconut flavor. Semi-sweet overall, but with a nutty twang from the rye.
Thin mouth feel, but has a smooth, coating texture. Slightly oily. Good carbonation.
A natural tasting coconut stout, that is free from bitterness but does express the rye spice note. Has a medium dry finish, with trailing off remnants being a mix of dark chocolate and coconut. Not overly sweet.
