Barley's Forge's winter ale of the now is a traditional winter warmer, a perfect option to end my first visit at the brewery itself. On-tap at the source itself, on to the beer:

It's dark brown colored and was served with a thin head. It leaves a few bits of lace clinging to the glass as the beer is consumed. It smells like a winter warmer, not embarrassed to show off spices like cinnamon and a pleasant date/raisin backbone. Fusty Puckett is generous with the spicy flavor it presents without taking to the overspiced route. A malty and sweet brown ale base infusing ginger and cinnamon is a great way to shake off the chills, and drinking the beer without encountering the alcohol (7% ABV) in the flavor tells of a winter warmer done well.
