12oz can, PKGD ON 12/11/18. A frothy ivory head caps a hazed copper body. Earthy pine, mango, citrus, and light caramel round out the scents. Boldly bitter flavors with loads of earthy pine, pungent grapefruit, faint orange & pineapple with bready malt and grain. Full body, resinous hops stick to the palate with bitterness intensifying, moderate carbonation, earthy pine lingers on and on. Bold and bitter but a good one to drink. I was looking for something local from Costa Mesa while visiting my sister & brother-in-law and this delivered.

This is good stuff! A subdued orange-haziness suffuses into the citrus rind and funky Simcoe hop all backed by a big, malty foundation.
Smell is creamy Simcoe citrus funk and taste is orange/citrus rind but with faint hints of pineapple, etc. Yes it’s bitter but the high alcohol and sugars tame it. Simcoe isn’t everyone’s jam because it has that dank funkiness that some of us love.
Different and fun and delicious! Definitely a sipper with a medium-heavy mouthfeel.
Loved it!

This is a fine tasting DIPA. The beer is clear with a nice straw color and reasonably dense head. The hop Stone is faint, but the hop taste is spot on, piney and citrusy. Hits the back of the tongue perfectly. The taste stays fresh as it gently fades off the palate. Great brew.

Future Tripping pours from the 12 oz. bottle with a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a thin head and very little lacing. The smell starts sweet on the nose with some tropical fruit, and touch of resinous pine, but there is a noticeable funk, of the Brett type. The taste is big and bitter up front with a dank resin and a barnyard funk. Some hints of pineapple and grape on the palette with a slight boozy feel. Not really my type of IIPA, couldn't get past the funk.

Very pineappley. A very nice IPA. I like the art on the label. Taste is fairly balanced-- a bit pineapple-forward. After taste has a mellow warm bitter flavor. One of the better IPAs, for sure.

L: an extremely hazy golden-orange with a thin layer of off-white head and almost no visible rising carbonation.
S: sweet, slightly dank resinous hops with hints of buttery breadiness
T: a quasi-sour funkiness. the flavor is of grapes, barnyard funk, buttered bread, and dank resin. certainly interesting and complex, but not the most pleasant taste, but does anyone really drink DIPAs for "pleasant flavors"? (this is me cynically suggesting/pondering that none of us really 'like' extremely strong IPAs, but our ability to endure them has become a sign of masculinity? [not that women don't drink strong IPAs!] and/or a socially acceptable way to consume high ABV liquids?)
F: medium-full body, slightly crisp
