Amazing first run for their BA program. This stout has lots of barrel qualities you want without any heat. Super smooth and really easy enjoy. I'm calling BS on the listed ABV. It has to be higher. Can't wait to cellar and enjoy these bottles.

Pours black with a small brown head. Rich and creamy appearance, light cannot make it through this brew.

Aroma is really nice, first roasty coffee notes, followed by a hint of oak and vanilla. Chocolate and alcohol finish the nose.

Taste is where this one gets you, it is just as heavenly as the aroma, but the oak really keeps with you through out the tasting experience. Starts off with roasted malt followed by the vanilla and milk chocolate. It is a sweet beer that stays with you taste buds, molasses like and molasses tastes. The bourbon on this is outstanding.

Mouthfeel is really nice. Coats the palate like velvet, although still kind of fluffy for lack of a better description and a couple beers deep already.

Overall: Barley Forge did a great job on their first barrel aged release. The best way I can explain to a beer geek is ....take BASS and take down the abv just a tad, and really highlight the vanilla and oak notes through out the experience
