The Black Dahlia - Cognac Barrel Aged

Poured from fridge temp. Pours a nice dark red/black with good amount of tan head. Nose is dominated by cranberries, and to a lesser extent black current and raspberries. Some oak and bread come through as well. Taste is pretty sweet - very fruit forward. Some oak on the back end, but a lot of sweet candy and slight bitter cranberries. Some roasted malts are apparent, and a tad bit of funk - kind of leathery. Mouthfeel is fairly medium bodied and a tad dry. Overall, a really interesting beer, but probably won't grab another.
