A: Lots of rum upfront, pretty boozy, light sourness, coupled with roasted malt.
A: Jet black with a moderate tan head that has adequate retention.
T: Lots of rum upfront in the taste, followed by a perceptible sourness, mixed with roasted malt. There is a light bitterness through the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation .
O: OK; Drinks much stronger than a 6%, lots of rum upfront. There is definitely some contamination going on, because there is some sourness. All of this masks the delicious toasted coconut evident in the regular Patsy stout.

Not sure what it is, but the essence of the regular The Patsy beer is completely lost with this version. The coconut flavors are so overpowered by a sort of medicinal, black licorice taste and I hate to say it... not good at all.

Mouthfeel is far too thin for this beer which pours black with a cocoa head. Instead of blending the coconut and rum flavors, there's just an off-putting sourness that doesn't mesh at all with the base beer. This is one of the biggest messes of a beer I've had in recent memory. A pretty big disappointment; order the regular Patsy (on CO2 or Nitro) instead of this beer, they are far far better (and cheaper).
